Veer written by Salman Khan is a complete entertainment flick. It was a beautiful historical blend of love and war. Salman Khan is creating miracles with his performance and even Mithun Da's acting cannot be left unacknowledged.
They have carried the interest of the viewers in a very tactful way by showing various twists and turns. This Anil Sharma film looked very expensive and royal. This movie will remind you of the old Bollywood films as the story has an old traditional kind of flow.
It starts with a war between a tribal community named Pinadari (Salman Khan) and Mithun and the Madhavgarh people who work for the Britishers. Prithvi (Mithun Chakraborty) from Pinadari community cuts the king of Madhavgarh's (Jackie Shroff) hand during a war for their mother land.
The poor Pinadari tribals want to take revenge from Madhavgarh people. Prithvi sends both his sons, Veer and Punya to London. So that they know more about the Britishers and their language which will make their work easier.
There Veer finds his love Princess Yashodhara (Zarine Khan) and later discovers that she is their rival king of Madhavgarh's daughter. But Veer's father wants him to get her by any means. This was then followed by a big war between the two communities and death of thousands of people.
Relationship shared by Veer and Prithvi was very well presented by Salman Khan and Mithun Chakraborty. Actress Neena Gupta played Veer's mother and Sohail Khan as his brother. Humor created by Sohail is worth mentioning. Actress Zarine Khan is delightfully cute but looked quite fat and chubby.
Though the overstretched climax made the film little boring but the songs of the film like "Surili Akiyon Wale", "Salaam Aaya" and "Meherbaniyan" overcomes all the negatives.
If you love Salman then you can never hate this film. After all Salman has spent ten years to write this beautiful story.
